ADL Tele-assessment application is a telepresence robotic application for clinicians, neurologists and psychiatrists to conduct remote tele-assessment of patients or end-users using Pepper. The React-based application have been developed and deployed using the RetraDev framework, allowing assessors to connect and conduct assessments on their subjects remotely. It is an ongoing project as a part of a joint-collaborative research between the RALT lab at HWU and the University of Strathclyde.
Features of ADL Tele-assessment application
- A modern, web-based telepresence user interface for conducting tele-assessment of ADLs
- Step-by-step process, which allow assessors to set their assessment list at first, conduct the assessment, and then write/edit/modify their assessments
- Export and store the assessments, building up a data set
- Utilize the benefits of additional cameras to efficiently monitor subject’s actions
- Use video point-to-click on objects appearing on Pepper’s camera stream to make Pepper point at that object with its hand
- Secured teleconferencing capability
- Real-time and safe robotic teleoperation with obstacle avoidance capability
- User access control and management
